Present position for Cadre merger & Grade pay


The Directorate has decided to place the proposal of merger and granting higher grade pay  for IP Cadre in the ensuing postal board meeting. The proposal will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance along with the postal board’s decision.

The Ministry of Finance normally considered the proposal approved by the Board of any Ministry.

    IP from MAHARASHTRA cIRCLE,
    Its good news. At the same time IP should get G.P. of 4600 along with pay fixation similar to Income tax/Central excise Inspectors/ASSTT of CE.

    Dear GS , please let us know the date when postal board is likely to meet. And also kindly let us know the decision of the postal board after they meet. All Ips are anxiously waiting to get their GP upgraded at par with CBDT/CBEC inspectors/Asst of CSS and end this humiliation of us and get justice.

    Don't bother about nomenclature of merged cadre. Let it be anything. The cadre should be merged w.e.f. 1.1.2006. Then only all will be benefited.

    Dear GS, postal board meeting was schedules on 10th and 11th June, 2010. Any update on the decision of the postal board ? When the file is likely to be sent to MOF? What is the exact proposal being approved by postal board? You are our only source of information regarding merger and grade pay upgradation of Ips.Kindly let us know.

    Dear sir,

    It is learnt that the postal board has kept the proposal pending as an OA is filed in CAT, Kerala Bench by Sri. Permanandkumar. The board decided to wait for the outcome of the case.

    The CAT case does not prohibit merger of Ip/ASP cadre. It only seeks GP of 4600 for IPs as has been done to CBDT/CBEC inspectors. So if the PSB decides to merge IP/ASP cadre then the IPs will get 4600 GP and the case will beome null and void.

    It is a good placement for all cadre in MACP.Even Gr.D/postman will get 4600/ G.P. However it is great injustice to the cadre of IPOs /Gr.B /ASPOs they have beeen compared with the G.P. of Gr.D/Postman cadre. This should not be done. Are the responsibilities same that of taken by Gr.B/ASPS/IPOs compared with Gr.D cadre.
