With the Finance Ministry upgrading the Grade Pay of 4200 to 4600 for the pre-revised scale of 6500 - 10500, we are pressing for a GP of 4600 for Inspector Posts.
Since, ASPs are already in the Grade Pay of 4600, demanding higher GP for ASPs at this juncture will only result in further delay in getting GP of 4600 for IPs.
If we ask for a separate GP for ASP, with the intention of retaining the ASP cadre, it will give rise to similar demands from Inspectors in other Departments, which do not have an intermediate cadre equivalent to our ASP cadre. In that case, our demand for GP of 4800 for ASP will not be considered favourably by Ministry of Finance.
In order to avoid this embarrasing situation and unnecessary delay in getting GP of 4600 to IPs and at the same time to get a better deal for ASPs, can we suggest merging the IP and ASP posts, so that present ASPs will automatically get a GP of 4800 and 5400 in their 2nd ACP and 3rd ACP. Direct IPs will get a GP of 4800, 5400 and 6000 in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd ACPs, respectively.

First of all, i would like to thanks IRM/ASRM association for having practical approach towards deserving demand of GP of 4600 for IPs.
ReplyDeleteI am fully agree with merging of IP/ASP Cadre. Actually, in the year 2007 itself, a proposal of merging of IP/ASp Cadre was suggested BY A.P. Circle in Kanchipuram Meet which was turned down by other Circle association.

this is good only for IP but not for ASP those are receiving already 4600 GP. What the result of merger is that there will be no respect for senior ASP among the others as young IP will also treat him at par the merger should not be happen.
ReplyDeleteLet us think practically. Para.1.2.20 of 6 CPC report may be seen. As the posts are identical, analogous SOs (Gazetted) & AAOs (Gazetted) of organised accounts were merged and kept in Grade pay of Rs.4800/- now they are called as AAOs. Why can't we? We should not compare within our department. Let us see beyond that. IPs may get benefit. That is their luck. What to do? Keeping in view that IPs will get much benefit, can we keep them in Grade pay of Rs.4200/-. Therefore, I suggest that let them be placed in Grade pay of Rs.4600/- first, which is very easy to get. After that we can fight for Rs.4800/- GP for ASP either with Department or MOF or in CAT. Let us be pro-active.
ReplyDeleteSir, It is good decision. It is wise decision to identify the need of time. After getting the grade pay Rs.4600/- for IP even on the cost of merger of ASP cadre, there will arise so many grounds to demand for seperation of ASP Cadre and grade pay and it will be accepted by the department due to their own compulsion & benefit.

ReplyDeleteWe have to go for merger of IP and ASP cadre when we have an opportunity for gettting GP of 4800 on Second ACP immediately almost ninty percent of ASPs. We should not deprive our IPO friends from getting GP of 4600 by demanding higher GP for ASPs right now.So we should try to get GP of 4600 to IPs as early as possible.

We came to know that some Inspectors posted at Directorate already had given representation . the honorable GS was tried to prevent them from giving the representation. Our shameless association already given application on GP up gradation for ASP and SP also . That’s why they are not updating the blog on this matter .
